Support Wings 138 for a Chock 90

Among other things, the invention comprises two support members, including generally triangular support wings 138, that are attached to an upper chocking member 114. The support wings 138 have a forward edge 142, a bottom edge 146, and a second hinge section 150. Both support wings 138 and upper chocking member 114 include hinge pins 154, which extend through the first hinge section 134 of the upper chocking member and through the second portion of the support wing. The hinges are not critical to the invention.

As wings 138 contact the first and second post guides, the chock 90 is raised. In addition, the wings 138 are deflected inward. This raises the hinge axis, resulting in an increased lift of the upper chocking member 114 and the lower chocking member 98. These wings 138 are not required to be level, but they must be parallel to each other for a properly functioning chock.
